The watercolor series “Weschdok” (2017, DE: “Material Evidence”) is based on the research of Alexander Kondakov “Hate Crimes against LGBTIQ* People in Russia”. The works from this series were used as illustrations in the book. “Weschdok” represents the prints of the objects that were used in these hate crimes.

Polina Zaslavskaya is a queer feminist artist born in 1984 and living in St. Petersburg. In 2015 she founded a queer-feminist artist group “Unwanted Organization”.
